Numerous methodologies and software tools exist for managing projects but real success relies on the capabilities of the project manager. This workshop will present the six critical PeoplePMTM attributes utilized by successful project managers:
Anticipation – “Look Over The Horizon”
Organization – “Be In Control”
Leadership – “Manage All 360 Degrees”
Communication – “Get On The Same Page”
Pragmatism – “Be Realistic”
Empathy – “Walk In Other Peoples’ Shoes”
The workshop will commence with an overview of the six critical PeoplePMTM attributes of successful project managers. We will then undertake a diagnostic to assess your capability in each of the six areas. A case study approach will then be combined with sample templates and hands-on exercises to explore each of the PeoplePMTM attributes in greater detail. The workshop will finish with a review of the diagnostic results and a discussion of what you can do “next week” to introduce PeoplePMTM into the way you work.
Learning Objectives:
- Review the six critical PeoplePMTM attributes of successful project managers
- Assess your current capability in each of the six attributes
- Develop a set of change initiatives to introduce PeoplePMTM into the way you work
