The Big Picture: Getting out of the Weeds -- A practical hands-on approach to conducting Enterprise Analysis
Description Speaker(s)

Because of time and financial constraints very often projects are thrust immediately into the requirements “weeds” for the sake of satisfying stakeholder’s immediate needs. It should come as no surprise that this approach has proven, and will continue to prove, to be a costly venture for all parties concerned. Business Analysis is beginning to mature as a profession and being recognized as a critical success factor in the quality and profitability of delivered goods and services. As organizations are being increasingly scrutinized for their spending and investments, Enterprise Analysis is taking center stage. Enterprise Analysis proposes to make certain that the right organizational investments are aligned with the overall business objectives, key metrics and vision. How this is accomplished is not always clearly articulated. This workshop proposes to outline the 6 critical success factors in conducting effective Enterprise Analysis according to the IIBA’s BA Body of Knowledge.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identifying the Role of the BA in Enterprise Analysis
  • Establishing the Enterprise Analysis Process
  • Building the Business Architecture
  • Solving Problems or Seizing Opportunities
