Leading Teams With Influence
Description Speaker(s)

Leadership skills required to motivate people and influence their behavior are critical for Project Managers, but difficult to learn. Truly influencing other people means engaging their attention and aligning it toward your business goals. Research shows that the mental-emotional dynamics driving this process involve different parts of the brain than are used to learn cognitive or technical skills.

This talk explores the role of Neurophysiology in decision making and behavior that drives influence. It will provide practical and easy to use techniques to apply this learning to affect decisions, actions and business outcomes that align with your goals.

You will learn how to work effectively with difficult people, connect with their motivational drivers and conquer the mental-emotional inertia that impedes progress. You will also learn how to increase your self-awareness of limiting thought patterns and affect immediate and lasting change in your ability to set higher goals and achieve bigger outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • You will learn techniques to
    1. exert influence vertically and horizontally across the organization
    2. identify cognitive filters and communicate effectively
    3. overcome your own performance limiting mental-emotional barriers
